Unique Stone

OVERVIEW
Unique Stone, a maker of cast-stone garden ornaments, had an extraordinary story—they just didn’t know how to tell it. The original owners traveled the world, collecting one-of-a-kind treasures, and replicating them into stunning reproductions. The new owner took it further, partnering with North Carolina’s Biltmore Estate and Historic Charleston.

The new tagline, “History in the Making” is both a nod to the reproductions and to the care and time they take in developing and crafting new pieces. We created an entirely new look complete with a more legible and sophisticated logo, planned and directed a photo shoot, and designed in a new catalog, website, email and social media showcasing their most noteworthy pieces, the time-intensive Old World techniques, and the telling of interesting stories of unique and historical reproductions.

GOALS/OBJECTIVES
Our goal was to make Unique Stone stand out in a fairly competitive marketplace, where name recognition goes a long way towards purchase intent.

WHAT WE DID
Revitalized the company’s identity with an engaging and genuine character befitting their exquisite historical items. The new tagline, “History in the Making,” pays homage to both the reproductions and the meticulous craftsmanship invested in crafting new pieces. Our involvement encompassed conceiving a new logo, orchestrating a photo shoot, curating a catalog, designing a website and showroom at AmericasMART, and initiating email and social media campaigns. These endeavors spotlight their exceptional pieces, showcase the employment of Old World techniques, and narrate captivating stories of distinctive and historic reproductions.

Unique Stone, a maker of cast-stone garden ornaments, had a great story…they just didn’t know how to tell it. The original owners had traveled the country and the world collecting one-of-a-kind original treasures, making molds from them, and then replicating the originals into stunning reproductions. The new owner took the business one step further, developing relationships with North Carolina’s famed Biltmore Estate and Historic Charleston.

Before hired, the company was simply showing photos of their pieces with no story and no sense of brand identity. We took their rich background and created a brand worthy of the beautiful historical pieces they sell.

The new tagline, “History in the Making” is both a nod to the reproductions and to the care and time they take in developing and crafting new pieces. We created an entirely new look complete with a more legible and sophisticated logo, planned and directed a photo shoot, and designed in a new catalog, website, email and social media showcasing their most noteworthy pieces, the time-intensive Old World techniques, and the telling of interesting stories of unique and historical reproductions.

WHAT WE DID
Designed new catalog highlighting key products with a fresh “evergreen” in the garden/landscape look and feel for the photography; organized the product line by creating sections, and adding key collections for easy of shopping for designers and garden center clients. Continued the brand look and feel into a new website, increased social media presence, created weather-resistant tags to identify Unique Stone merchandise at retailers and garden centers, and upscaled their brand presence by designing both their trade shows and in their permanent showroom at the Atlanta AmericasMart.
